Cut Nyak Dien is a female national hero from Indonesia who came from the Aceh region. Cut Nyak Dien was born in 1848 into a family of religious nobles in the Greater Aceh area. Cut Nyak Dien is from the lineage of his father is a direct descendant of a Sultan of Aceh. Biography-Cut-Nyak-Dien When he was 12 years old, Cut Nyak Dien married in 1862 to Teuku Cek Ibrahim Lamnga, who also came from a noble family. This young couple is blessed with a child. When an Aceh war broke out on March 26, 1873, Cut Nyak Dien's father and husband had led a front-line war against the Dutch, which had a more modern and widespread weapon. After years of war, his troops had been forced to flee to such a remote area.
