Jakarta, CNN Indonesia - The number of positive cases of corona virus (Covid-19) in Indonesia on Thursday (7/5) cumulatively reached 12,776 patients, while the number of patients died amounted to 930 people, and recovered patients reached 2,381 people. Government Spokesperson for Covid-19 Achmad Yurianto said the figures were data to date as of 12.00 WIB. "The total number of positive cases is 12,776 people," Yurianto said in an official statement at the Media Center of the Task Force for the Acceleration of Covid-19 Handling, Graha National Disaster Management Agency (BNPB), Jakarta, Thursday (7/5).

A. Narrative Text

 

 Narrative Text : a story with complication or problematic events and it tries to find the resolutions to solve the problems. An important part of narrative text is the narrative mode, the set of methods used to communicate the narrative through a process narration.

  

  The purpose of Narrative Text : to amuse or to entertain the reader with a story.

  Generuc structure of Narrative Text :

1. Orientation : where and when the story happened and introduces the participants of the story; who and what is involved in the story. 
   
2. Complication : the beginning of the problems which leads to the crisis (climax) of the main participants. 
   
3. Resolution : the problem (the crisis) is resolved, either in a happy ending or in a sad (tragic) ending.
4. Re-orientation / Coda : a closing remark to the story and it is optional. It consists  of  a  moral  lesson,  advice  or  teaching  from  the writer.

B. Simple Past Tense

MALIN KUNDANG

Orientation

Once Upon a time, lived a diligent boy named Malin Kundang. He lived in the seashore with his mother. They were very poor, but they lived quiet and harmonious.

Complication

One day, a big ship closed to the beach near their village. They asked peoples to join work in their ship and went to the cross island. Malin Kundang wanted to join with them because he wanted to improve his family’s life. But his mother didn’t permit him. She worried to Malin. Malin still kept his argument… and finally he sailed with the bigship.Several years later, Malin Kundang succed and he became rich trader. Then, he came to his native village with his beatiful wife, but his wife didn’t know Malin’s real descent. His happy mother quickly approached Malin and brought a plate of village cake, Malin’s Favorite. But Malin didn’t admit that woman as his poor mother, and then he kicked the village cakewhich brought by his mother until scattered.

Resolution

His mother very broken heart because Malin rebellious to her, who had growth him. Then, his mother cursed Malin became stone.Suddenly, the bigship which Malin’s had was vacillated by a big storm and all of his crewman tossed aside out. Malin realized that was his fault that rebellious his mother. He bowed down and became a stone.

SHORT MOVIE : COIN OPERATED 

This story tells a boy who is very obsessed with the world of outer space. One day he went to a shop with his mother. At that time, he saw a rocket toy that made him fall in love. Finally he played the rocket with a coin that he had. After that, he wants to play the rocket again but he doesn't have a coin. Finally, he sold a lemon drink so he could get a lot of coins. Imperceptibly, he has become old and has many coins. He returned to the store where when he was a child visited. He went there just to play the rocket he played when he was a kid. Then, he put all the coins he had into the rocket. The rocket ignited and unexpectedly the rocket flew to the moon.

Cinderella

Once upon a time, there lived a girl named Cinderella. She lived with her step mother and two step sisters. The step mother and her two daughters didn’t like Cinderella. They treated Cincerella very bad. Cinderella usually did the hardest works in the house; such as scrubbing the floor, cleaning the pot and pan and preparing the food for the family, and so on.

One day, a ball was to be held by the royal family of the kingdom to find the Prince’s spouse. Cinderella wanted to go to the ball but her step mother asked her to stay at home and do the house works. Cinderella cried. Then there was a fairy godmother standing beside her.

“Why are you crying, Cinderella?”, the fairy godmother asked.

“Because I want to go to the ball but my step mother insists me to stay at home. Besides, I don’t have any beautiful dress” said Cinderella.

Then the fairy turned Cinderella’s ugly dress became the most beautiful dress and with beautiful slippers. The fairy also turned a pumpkin into a parking coach and the mice become six white horses. Cinderella fiinally could go to the ball but she had to come back before midnight before the spell ended.

At the ball, Cinderella amazed everybody there include the Prince. The Prince asked her to dance. Cinderella had a wonderful time at the ball. But, all of a sudden, she heard the sound of a clock, the first stroke of midnight. Remembered what the fairy had said, Cinderella ran back to go home. But she lost one of her slippers in ballroom. The Prince picked up her slipper and would search for the girl whose foot fitted with the slipper.

A few days later, the Prince proclaimed that he would marry the girl whose feet fitted the slipper. Her step sisters tried on the slipper but it was too small for them, no matter how hard they squeezed their toes into it. In the end, the King’s solder let Cinderella try on the slipper. She stuck out her foot and the page slipped the slipper on. It fitted perfectly.

Finally, she was driven to the palace. The Prince was overjoyed to see her again. They were married and live happily ever after.

Cut Nyak Dien is a female national hero from Indonesia who came from the Aceh region. Cut Nyak Dien was born in 1848 into a family of religious nobles in the Greater Aceh area. In 1962, Habibie returned to Indonesia for three months on sick leave. During this time, he was reacquainted with Hasri Ainun, the daughter of R. Mohamad Besari. The two married on 12 May 1962, returning to Germany shortly afterwards. Habibie and his wife settled in Aachen for a short period before moving to Oberforstbach. In May 1963 they had their first son, Ilham Akbar Habibie, and later another son, Thareq Kemal Habibie

When Habibie’s minimum wage salary forced him into part-time work, he found employment ‘with the Automotive Marque Talbot, where he became an advisor. Habibie worked on two projects which received funding from Deutsche Bundesbahn. Due to his work with Makosh, the head of train constructions offered his position to Habibie upon his retirement three years later, but Habibie refused. 

Habibie did accept a position with Messerschmitt-Bolkow-Blohm in Hamburg. There, he developed theories on thermodynamics, construction, and aerodynamics know as the Habibie Factor, Habibie Theorem, and Habibie Method, respectively. He worked for Messerschmiton the development of the aircraf. In 1974, he was promoted to vice president of the company.

In 1974, Suharto requested Habibie to return to Indonesia as part of Suharto’s drive to develop the contury. Habibie innitialy served as a special assistant to Ibnu Sutowo, the CEO of the state oil company Pertamina. Two years later, in 1976, Habibie was made Chief Executive Officer of the new state-owned enterprise Industri Pesawat Terbang Indonesia (IPTN). In 1978, he was appointed as Minister of Research and Technology. Habibie was elected vice president in March 1998. On May 1998, Soeharto pubictly announced his resignation and Habibie was immediately sworn in as president. Habibie’s goverment stabilized the economy in the face of the Asian financial crisis and the chaos of the last few months of Suharto’s presidency.

Since relinquishing the presidency, Habibie has spent more time in Germany than in Indonesia. However, he has also been active as a presidential adviser during Susilo Bmbang Yudoyono’s presidency. In September 2006, he released a book called Detik-Detik Yang Menentukan : Jalan Panjang Indonesia Menuju Demokrasi (Decivise Moment: Indonesia’s Long Road Towards Democracy). The book recalled the events of May 1998.
